Amazon River’s 13 Undiscovered Monsters

The Golden Lancehead

The Golden lancehead is a venomous pitviper species with light yellowish brown color. On average, it grows to a length of 70 cm and is known to reach 118 cm. In captivity, this yellowish colof often becomes darker which may be result of poor circulation caused by effective thermoregulation. Their diet consists mostly of perching birds. However they have been reported to eat lizards and even resort to cannibalism.
