Tuna Throwing
The tuna throwing is held each year in January in Port Lincoln, Australia. The competition started in 1979 when reeling locals were trying to revive interest in the festival. Entries toss the ten kilogram tuna hoping to win a prize of 3000 dollars. In 2007 festival, it was the last one with real tunas used for the throws, since then artificially made fake tunas have been used.
