15 of the World’s Most Expensive Things

Breguet Grande Complication Marie-Antoinette

The Breguet Grande Complication Marie-Antoinette watch is commissioned by an alleged lover of Marie Antoinette, the French queen. It costs 30,000,000 million dollars which makes it the world’s most expensive watch. The work on the watch began in 1782 by Abraham-Louis Breguet and was finished in 1827 by his son 4 years after his death. It is encased in gold and he used sapphire to lower the friction within the piece. The watch was stolen in the late 1900’s and it was retrieved only in 2007. Currently the watch is secured at the L.A Mayer museum.
