French passport holders enjoys all of the benefits of the other EU countries but has a slightly larger and more stable economy. According to Visa Restrictions Index, French citizens can visit 172 countries without visa or visa granted upon arrival. French citizens can live and work in any country within the EU as a result of the right of free movement and residence granted in Article 21 of the EU Treaty.
