THE CHURCH OF HALLGRIMUR, ICELAND
The Church of Hallgrimur ia a Luthern parish church. It is the largest church in Iceland and it can accommodate around 1200 people. The construction of the church started in 1945 and took nearly 38 years to finish the whole building. The church is located in the center of the city so it can be viewed from all parts of Reykjavik and because the church is so tall, it can also be used as an observation tower.
