One of the most famous theory about Valentine’s Day origin is when Emperor Claudius II didn’t want Roman men to marry during wartime but Bishop Valentine was against it and he even performed secret weddings. He was caught, jailed and executed. But while in jail, he wrote a note to a jailor’s daughter, signing it “From your Valentine”.
