Giant Fresh Water Stingrays

The Giant Fresh Water Stingrays belong to the family of Dasyatidae. They are found in large rivers and estuaries in Indochina and Borneo. They are one of the largest freshwater fishes in the world. They inhabit sandy and muddy areas and preys on small fishes and invertebrates. They are not aggressive but it merits caution as it sting is sheathed in toxic and it can pierce a bone.
