20 Lost Treasures No One Can Find

 The Sunken Spanish Treasure Fleet

One of the best thing about living in Florida is that a certain stretch known as Treasure Coast where treasures literally wash up on the coast from time to time. Just like one family who found a 300,000 dollars’ worth of gold about 150 yards offshore. There’s way more where that came from. In 1712, Spain had just ended its War of Succession which meant they were kind of light of funds so in 1715, they assembled 11 galleon and galley class ships containing pearls, emeralds, gold and silver to transport wealth from Cuba to Spain. They waited until hurricane season which was a very bad idea to sail for Spain. Seven days and thousands of sailors died and the fleet sunk.
