20 Lost Treasures No One Can Find

The Irish Crown Jewels

The Irish Crown Jewels didn’t really involve a crown of any sort and weren’t associated with the coronation ceremonies. The Crown jewels belonged to the Order of St. Patrick and the responsibility of the Ulster King of Arms and on July 6, 1907, it was discovered they had been stolen. According to the Vicars, the culprit was one of hid heralds, Francis Shackleton, brother to the famed Arctic explorer. Although it was never confirmed, the Vicars got the worst of blame.
