Crater Lake, Mount Katmai-Alaska, USA
Mount Katmai is a large stratovolcano on the Alaska Peninsula in Southern Alaska located within Katmai National Park and Preserve. In 1912, it is the most spectacular Alaskan eruption and the largest volcanic eruption. The eruption actually took place at a vent about 6 mi to the west of Mount Katmai.
